A news photographer for KLAS-TV, Las Vegas, was arrested Saturday while covering one of the nationwide rallies designed to convince Donald Trump to release his federal income tax returns.

Arrested for trespassing and obstruction, Nebyou Solomon was released about eight hours later. Las Vegas police said he was recording the event from what they determined was private property belonging to the Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas strip.

Police issued him a misdemeanor citation, which he refused to sign as having received, and so he was taken into custody. Officials say he was also uncooperative and refused to provide any personal information about himself.

KLAS-TV management and the ACLU protested the arrest, saying Solomon was not interfering with any traffic in the area and that he was “just doing his job.”

Las Vegas was among the 150 cities where protests, marches and rallies were held demanding President Trump release his tax returns.
