Longtime Kansas newsman Dan Dillion is departing KLIO-AM/KFDI-FM after 34 years at the same station. He will become media coordinator for the Sedgwick County District Attorney in February.
Dillion, 60, told the Wichita Eagle newspaper that it was "just time to make a change."
The broadcaster, best known for his reliable, steady coverage of severe weather in Tornado Alley, has won dozens of national and regional Edward R. Murrow awards and has served as a judge for the awards many times.
