Thanks to a grant from CBS, the Freedom Forum Institute’s newly developed training to combat sexual harassment and discrimination in newsrooms is now free. The research-based curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking, courageous conversations and cultures of respect and trust. 2019 workshop dates are Jan. 16-17, March 26-27, June 12-13, August 15-16 and Oct. 16-17. May 8-9: RTDNA/ACES Editing Boot Camp | Washington, D.C.
RTDNA is partnering with ACES: The Society for Editing for an in-depth training program in Washington, D.C. The Boot Camp will focus on essential editing skills for journalists, digital editing tips, tricks and tools, and editing for broadcasters (think scripts and captions). Details coming soon!

RTDNA’s annual conference, held with partners NAHJ and SPJ this year, is one of journalism’s biggest gatherings and the only one focused on local news leadership, industry trends and preparing newsrooms to reach tomorrow’s audiences.
