EIJ17 begins Thursday

Excellence in Journalism 2017 (EIJ17), produced by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ), in partnership with the Native American Journalists Association (NAJA) gets started Thursday at the Anaheim Marriott. You can read all about it on the conference website, and follow along with multiple updates per day on RTDNA.org.

The Opening Business Session for RTDNA members is on Thursday, September 7 at 11:45am in the room called Orange County 2. Also, don't miss Saturday's Closing Business Session at 1:45pm in Gold Key 2, where the new RTDNA board chair takes the gavel.

We hope you'll join us on Friday at 10:30am in Grand H for a special session where you can meet the winners of this year's National Endowment for Financial Education/RTDNA Personal Finance Award winners, and hear how they put together their award-winning entries. Each year, participants come away from this session with great ideas to tell stories in their markets.

Join us for a very special session in Platinum 5 and 6 as NBC's Lester Holt receives RTDNA’s prestigious Paul White Award, and we'll present the John F. Hogan Distinguished Service Award to CNN's Jake Tapper. And don't forget to get your ticket to the awards reception in Grand E, immediately following the ceremony. If you're unable to attend, we'll be live streaming the event on rtdna.org.
