If the words "Bird" and "Lime" still make you think of feathered friends and fruit, maybe your neighborhood hasn't yet been invaded by app-based, electric scooters. Chances are, though, that these shared vehicles are in use somewhere in your coverage area. Maybe you've already done some stories on them.
But when the sun goes down, something new and different goes on with those dockless scooters. They descended on the University of Minnesota campus this fall. Soon after, student reporter Alex Smith plugged in to the new form of moonlighting they've created. See if a story like hers might be worth pursuing in your area.
